NFAR Summit

Project Info

Project Description

The 2016 NFAR Technology Summit will take technology-assisted care to the next level by focusing on how digital health technologies can be used to address health disparities and close the gap for individuals who face barriers to accessing substance use treatment and recovery services. The program will feature experts in technology-assisted care providing hands-on training in using technologies to extend services, including how to: securely use email and texting to communicate with clients; deliver services via video-conferencing; provide telephone recovery support; and avoid and resolve ethical dilemmas that come with using new technologies. Summit participants will gain the skills necessary to implement technology-assisted care into behavioral health settings to better connect people to the services they need.
