Biography

Tony Rousmaniere, PsyD, has a psychology private practice in Seattle and is also Clinical Faculty at the University of Washington. His publications include Deliberate Practice for Psychotherapists: A Guide to Improving Clinical Effectiveness (author; Taylor & Francis), The Cycle of Expertise: Using Deliberate Practice in Supervision, Training, and Independent Practice (co-editor, along with Rod Goodyear, Scott Miller, and Bruce Wampold; Wiley Press), and Using Technology for Clinical Supervision: A Practical Handbook (co-editor; ACA Press). Dr. Rousmaniere provides clinical training and supervision to therapists around the world, with an emphasis on using deliberate practice to improve the effectiveness of clinical skill development.

Dr. Rousmaniere’s keynote will review recent research on technology-based clinical supervision and provide practical guidance on best practices in using technology in supervision (how to use it, when to use it, and when not to use it), with a special focus on regulatory compliance, confidentiality, and security.
